Graduation Application

An Application for the undergraduate/graduate degree must be submitted within 10 days after the beginning of the final semester of study.

You may contact the Academic Services Office at (412) 397-6230 to request that an application be mailed to you.
Notice of eligibility or ineligibility for the degree will be mailed to each student.

August and December graduates will receive their diplomas as soon as they have been appropriately engrossed. May graduates will receive their diplomas approximately forty-five days following commencement exercises.

Formal commencement exercises are held once each year in May. All who successfully complete degree programs prior to the annual commencement date will be invited to participate along with those who complete degree programs in May. Commencement information will be announced and emailed in March.

The application is for the date of expected graduation indicated. Candidates not graduated must reapply.


Degrees are conferred at commencement exercises held each spring. Caps and gowns are provided by the University. Students who are planning to complete their degrees during the Spring 2018 semester must submit an application for graduation through the RMU website or Academic Services in Patrick Henry Center no later than Monday, January 22, 2018.
