Graduate Graduation Requirements Policy
Candidates for all graduate degrees must:

Complete a specific minimum number of approved graduate credits with a program quality-point average of at least 3.00.

Receive faculty approval for awarding the degree by completing all designated courses as outlined in the curriculum and any other program requirements.

Fulfill residency and statute-of-limitations requirements. (See related policy)

Apply for graduation at the Academic Services Office (or through the Student Support Center) at the beginning of the final term.
Students who have completed or who are registered to complete all degree requirements must apply for graduation*. Upon successful completion of all degree requirements, students will be officially graduated and receive their diploma. The official date of graduation will be at the end of the semester that the student applies for graduation. See Participation in Commencement policy.
*Students must apply for graduation in a timely manner. Those who do not do so may not be listed in the commencement program.
