Undergraduate Change of Major/Program Procedure
  1. Students requesting to change their major to

    Education
    Engineering

    will adhere to the following procedure:

    1. Secure Change of Major/Program Form from the Student Support Center.

      1. Moon Township students attending day classes must present the completed Change of Major/Program form along with a computerized unofficial copy of the checksheet for the new major to the new department head to secure approval for entrance into new major or program.

      2. Center for Adult and Continuing Education students attending day classes may follow steps 1 above or the Assistant Dean, Center for Adult and Continuing Education will forward the completed Change of Major/Program form along with a computerized unofficial copy of the checksheet for the new major to the new department head to secure approval for entrance into new major or program.

      3. Students attending evening classes and/or Saturday classes may follow 1 or 2 above.

    2. Return approved Change of Major form to the Academic Services Office for final processing. The Academic Services Office will prepare an official checksheet outlining the program requirements.

    3. Student will receive a copy of the official checksheet along with information concerning the student's new advisor (if applicable).

  2. All other students requesting to enter any other major must comply with the following procedure:

    1. Secure Change of Major/Program Form from the Student Support Center.

    2. The Student Support Center will forward the completed Change of Major/Program form to the Academic Services Office for approval.

    3. Upon review of all pertinent information, the Academic Services Office will approve or deny the request.

    4. Academic Services Office:

      1. Notifies the students their requests have been approved or denied.

      2. Prepares an official checksheet outlining requirements for those requests that have been approved.

      3. Provides the student a copy of the official checksheet with information concerning the student's new advisor (if applicable).
